Enabling Third-Party Cookies
Using Ochatbot on your site requires the use of third-party cookies. Nowadays, many browsers automatically block all cookies by default, which may cause issues with Ochatbot. Read below to learn how to turn these settings back on for your specific browser and operating system.
Windows Operating System
Google Chrome
- Click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner
- Select “Settings”
- Click on “Privacy and security” in the left sidebar
- Select “Third-party cookie”
- Enable “Allow third-party cookies” or “Block third-party cookies in Incognito”
Mozilla Firefox
- Visit the website.
- At the left of the address bar, click the shield icon.
- At the top right of the panel, toggle off the Enhanced Tracking Protection switch. This will disable Enhanced Tracking for the site, causing the page to automatically reload and enable trackers.
Microsoft Edge
- Click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner
- Select “Settings”
- Click on “Cookies and site permissions”
- Under “Cookies,” select “Manage and delete cookies and site data”
- Toggle on “Allow sites to save and read cookie data”
Mac Operating System
Google Chrome:
- Click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner
- Select “Settings”
- Click on “Privacy and security” in the left sidebar
- Select “Third-party cookie”
- Enable “Allow third-party cookies” or “Block third-party cookies in Incognito”
Mozilla Firefox:
- Open Firefox and click the three lines to the right of the address bar.
- Choose Privacy & Security.
- Select Custom.
- To enable all cookies, deselect the box labeled ‘Cookies.’
- To allow third-party cookies but block those from websites you haven’t visited, keep Cookies checked and choose ‘Cookies from unvisited websites’ from the menu.
- Close the Settings tab.
Safari:
- Click “Safari” in the top menu bar
- Select “Preferences”
- Go to the “Privacy” tab
- Uncheck “Prevent cross-site tracking”
- Ensure “Block all cookies” is unchecked
Microsoft Edge:
- Click “Microsoft Edge” in the top menu bar
- Select “Preferences”
- Click on “Cookies and site permissions”
- Under “Cookies,” select “Manage and delete cookies and site data”
- Toggle on “Allow sites to save and read cookie data”
